The Meat House is owned and operated by the Gagnon family since February of 2014. The culmination of a life-long dream, The Meat House represents a return to his roots for co-owner Donald Gagnon, who began his working career in small butcher shop in the late 1960s. Don can often be found helping guests at the meat counter or giving “90 second tours” to new guests. Don’s obsession with quality and customer service, developed by more than 30 years as an executive with AAA, drives our staff ever day to delivery excellence for our guests.
Often found cutting meat in the cooler, helping a guest with a catering order, or up on a ladder changing a light bulb, Don’s son Scott is the day-to-day force lending his own focus on customer service and attention to detail honed from a career in project management and consulting. His prodigious list-making and sometimes corny (ok, always corny) dad jokes keep our team focused and smiling.
